| OUT OF STOCK: LACE
Nylon, polyester or rayon were amongst many new fibres introduced to lacemaking during the first half of the 20th century. The new threads were finer but more hardwearing than cotton, allowing lace edgings to be made finer and very narrow.
Most of the mixed fibre laces we stock are from old factory stock dating back to the 1930's, 40's, 50's and 60's. They are popular amongst miniaturists and doll makers as they are finely made, no longer manufactured and remain less expensive than cotton.
